Great to meet all of you at the tournament. I had a blast at the RALV tourney, though I couldn't be around for the WW one. These are the sorts of events to keep Rage alive in the minds of the general gameplaying populace. Special thanks to Matthew Burack for organizing this beast, and to Matt Farney for officiating and taking notes, and to Songs of Fire for the WW tourney.

To whet your appetite, I foist upon you the results from Rage Across GenCon! RALV (15 participants): Congratulations to: Two time defending champion: Virginia Coady. The Bone Doctor and her packmates again triumphed. Other finalists included: Pierce Coady (Ahroun), Pippa Hempe (Red Talons), and Jonathan Jones (Philodox) Storyline: The Garou continue to fight amongst themselves. The Philodox tried to keep the peace but were beaten down both in vote and in heart as the bloodthirsty packs of Garou fought amonst themselves. Truly a sad day for Gaia... WWRAGE (9 participants): Congratulations to: Ed Swing. Azrael's own Songs of Fire captured the WWRage title, besting artist Lisanne Lake and someone else (my apologies at not remembering the name) in the finals. I will get the results from Ed, and format full reports from these tournaments over the next few days. -Matt farneymp@erinet.com | Official Rage Rules Guru | Top Deck Contributor Togashi Mattsu, Enlightening Monk | Sees-Through-Lies, Children of Gaia Ragabash Visit the Official Rage Rulings Archive at www.erinet.com/farneymp/rulings.html

Date: Wed, 16 Aug 2000 15:36:59 EDT From: BlackDaggr@aol.com To: rageinfo@frpg.com, rageccg@azraelproductions.com Subject: GenCon Write Up (WW) Rage Across GenCon World Championships WW Rage August 12, 2000 20 Renown, Single Elimination 9 Players total (allegiance, primary characters in deck) John Carlson (Wyrm, Questor and Hunts-by-Night) Craig Erikson (Wyrm, Longtooth and Tsannik) Ed Swing (Gaia, Fireclaw and Old Storm Chaser) John Perdy (Wyrm, Morgan and Allonzo) Ross Wolfe (Gaia, Grimfang and Mamu) Matthew Burack (Gaia, Morihei and Cassandra Shadow Watcher) Clarence Ford (Gaia, Mari Cabrah exp and two other Black Furies) Lissanne Lake (Gaia, Glasswalkers primarily) Craig Randall (Gaia, Julisha and Mari) --- Round 1: Three 3-player games were fought. Each game had one Wyrm and 2 gaia players. The matchups were as follows (scores in parentheses): Craig R. (8) - Clarence (Winner) - Craig E. (15) Ed (Winner) - Matthew (0) - John P. (8) Lissanne (Winner) - Ross (5) - John C. (16) Finals were the three winners from the first round. Ed Swing (winner) - Lissanne (2nd, in the teens) - Clarence (3rd). Overall results: I was glad we got 9 players, particularly with the L5R tourneys dominating the CCG area. I ran into a lot of players who would have participated had they known in advance to bring decks. No Wyrm pack made it to the finals. Kills by Gaia packs were slightly more Enemies + Wyrm characters than Victims + Gaia characters, so the Wyrm took losses in the fight. I would like to thank everyone that helped to set up the games, all of the players, and White Wolf for the prizes for the WWRage tourney. Songs of Fire Red Talon Galliard
